| Membership Information and Form | |
As a member of PABA, you will be invited to take part in organized meetings held throughout the year at forges and shops of members in the Eastern and Central Pennsylvania region. These meetings often feature demonstrations by well-known invited guest artists and provide an excellent opportunity for the participants to exchange information and learn new techniques. Demonstrations and programs focus on subjects such as knife making, colonial hardware, architectural ironwork, and other areas of interest to the blacksmiths. In addition to general meetings, open forges provide members with opportunites to polish their forging skills. Occasionally conferences are held in cooperation with various educational and cultural institutions on a variet of topics. The organization has also co-sponsored exhibits of members' metalwork. Another benefit of membership is "Pennslyvania Striker," the newsletter of PABA, which contains information on upcoming chapter events, sources for tools and materials, news items of interest, and tips and techniques. The newsletter is published six times a year. PABA also trades newsletters with other ABANA chapters all over the US and Canada, incorporating knowledge and information of the thousands of members of ABANA. For PABA membership, please send completed application with name, address, phone, and email address, including a check for $25.00 payable to: PENNSYLVANIA ARTIST BLACKSMITHS' ASSOCIATION To print a copy of the form, click the form below, and then select File, Print. |
